Pilot News: Zach Gilford Joins Untitled ABC Drama in 'Self-Destructive' Role

Zach Gilford ABC Pilot

Just days after USA Network passed on Zach Gilford‘s pilot Stanistan, the Friday Night Lights grad has bounced back with a new project on ABC.

Gilford will co-star in the untitled political drama pilot from Grey’s Anatomy/Scandal co-executive producer Jenna Bans, our sister site Deadline reports, playing the self-destructive older brother of Adam Warren, a politician’s son who returns home after being presumed dead for 10 years.

Drama ensues when the man arrested for Adam’s murder is released, forcing the arresting officer to reexamine what happened that fateful night.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

It’s already been done! It’s called Rectify! Get new idea people!

Thumbs up! He is immensely talented and deserves to be successful. I’ll never forget what he did on “The Son”, the 5th episode of FNL’s 4th season!

  3. He’s terrific at emoting angst without having to resort to all of the typical tricks in the Dummy’s Guide to Acting. I’ve enjoyed his more understated performances in Friday Night Lights and Dare.
