Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney Debut 'FourFiveSeconds' at Grammys

Rihanna Kanye Grammy Performance

Living legends Rihanna and Kanye West on Sunday welcomed up-and-coming recording artist Paul McCartney (who?!) to the Grammy Awards stage for a performance of the trio’s laid-back hit “FourFiveSeconds.”

A far cry from the loud, boisterous and occasionally crotch-grabby fare we’re accustomed to seeing from RiRi and West, this performance found the superstars presenting toned-down versions of themselves as they harmonized alongside the Beatles great.

(Just kidding! There was still so much crotch-grabbing.)

The song was initially released just a few weeks ago, setting the internet ablaze with mostly positive reviews from surprised critics and fans of all three artists. And following this performance — which marked the song’s live television debut — it’s hard to imagine “FourFiveSeconds” not earning even more radio spins.

Earlier in the evening, West also performed — and danced majestically to — “Only One,” a tribute to his late mother that he co-wrote with McCartney.

Rihanna sounded the BEST I’ve ever heard her sound. This new album may be something worth purchasing.

  2. kn1231 says:

It was the best performance of the night by far. Rihanna killed it, absolutely killed it.

  3. Amy says:

Pretty sure Sir Paul’s mic was off?

It was… weird. Nice to hear Kanye without autotune, but not *that* nice- still Kanye after all. Strange performance in a string of slow tunes, but nice to be able to bob my head a sec.

  4. Judi says:

why was Sir Paul’s microphone off?

  5. Eric says:

I really enjoyed the permormance! I think that “Only One” was actually written for Kanye’s daughter, rather than his wife.

  6. marty says:

Tony Bennett and Ladg Gaga were so much more in sync…Kanye and Ri are such camera whores that they can’t put their egos in check to deliver a more cohesive and impactful performance. What a surprise…

  7. Debra Waters says:

Rihanna blew it away even though Kanye was off key and struggling. She has a PURE voice when she decides to really sing. She and Paul should do something together, without Kanye.

  8. Saabgirlatx says:

Song=good. Faux crotch grabbing=lame and distracting especially alongside sir paul.

  9. sladewilson says:

Best performance Rihanna has ever given. She was so on point she even made Kanye better. One of the best performances of the night…
