Geoff Stults The Odd Couple

Geoff Stults will be dividing his time between two very odd couples.

The Enlisted actor has scored recurring roles on CBS’ Matthew Perry-Thomas Lennon remake of The Odd Couple and Netflix’s Jane Fonda-Lily Tomlin comedy Grace and Frankie, TVLine has learned.

On The Odd Couple, which is slated to bow at midseason, Stults will play Murph, an ex-baseball player whose career was cut short by an injury. He’s a sturdy Midwesterner with an easygoing charm and, now that his career is over, he loves hanging out with Oscar (Matthew Perry) and the guys while he figures out what to do next.

Grace and Frankie, meanwhile, finds the actor portraying Mitch, husband to Mallory (Brooklyn Decker) and son-in-law to Grace (Fonda). He’s an obgyn and father of two who is always on call and trying to do the best he can juggling husband, father and doctor duties.

Stults is coming off of a one-season run on Fox’s Enlisted. Yahoo Screen was in talks to pick the series up for a second season, but those negotiations failed to yield a deal.
