The Melrose Place and Emily Owens M.D. grad will play Lachlan, a rival to Justin Baldoni’s Rafael. Not only was Lachlan hand-picked by Rafael’s father, Emilio, to head up the company, he has a surprising history with his wife, Petra (Yael Groblas).

Rady’s other credits include Greek, The Mentalist, House of Lies and, most recently, CBS’ ill-fated Intelligence.

Jane the Virgin bows Monday, Oct. 13 at 9/8c.

  1. K says:

I’m not surprised. It’s not a CW show until he shows up

  2. uk-usa-tvaddict says:

Not to seem racist but why are they casting so many white people? I thought this was a Latin American show.

    • James says:

Yael Groblas is Middle Eastern, Justin Baldoni is Jewish and Italian, Gina Rodriguez is Hispanic, of course Jaime Camil is also Hispanic.

    • James says:

To be honest, I shouldn’t really be worried if the cast apart from Gina Rodriguez aren’t all Hispanic. We had Nikita which was led by the only Asian-American lead on broadcast TV, Maggie Q.

      • Ray says:

Maggie Q is half white. You won’t find any show on American broadcast television with an Asian lead, since it seems to have regressed since days of Margaret Cho’s short-lived sitcom. Thankfully ABC will be remedying that in the spring with Fresh Off the Boat.

  3. bj says:

I really like him. Too bad he couldn’t have gotten a role on a show I’d probably watch. :(

  4. Spencer says:

Poor Jane. He’s a show killer.

    • Will says:

Not quite. He was a prominent recurring character named Max on ABC Family’s GREEK during it’s 2nd season. The series had 4 seasons total.

  5. Becky says:

I love Michael Rady. Perhaps I’ll give this show a shot and watch an episode or two.

  6. Diz says:

I like him, but I refuse to watch this show.
