Comedy vet Fred Willard has signed on to be one of NBC’s Old Souls.
Willard will play Hector, a resident at the retirement home run by reformed party girl Nadia (played by Orange Is the New Black‘s Natasha Lyonne), our sister site Deadline reports.
Willard’s character is a packrat and Broadway songwriter who has been married to Rita (Rita Moreno, Oz), his writing partner, for more than 50 years.
The actor currently recurs as Phil’s dad, Frank, on ABC’s Modern Family.
Old Soul is a single-camera comedy executive-produced by Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Jonathan Fener and Josh Bycel.
