The kiddie-centric cabler has given a green light to third seasons of both Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins, and a fourth round of Jake and the Never Land Pirates.

* Starting March 3, the Military Channel will be known as American Heroes Channel (AHC) and in turn honor “the great defenders of our freedom while providing a rare glimpse into major events that shaped our world and the trailblazers and unexpected advocates who made a difference.”

* Oxygen has set a Tuesday, March 18 at 10/9c premiere date for the docu-series Chasing Maria Menounos aka, sigh, my life story.

* Capture host Luke Tipple will lord over Syfy’s Opposite Worlds competition series-slash-social experiment, premiering Jan. 21.

* TBS has renewed its late-night series The Pete Holmes Show for an additional 13 weeks. New episodes begin unspooling Feb. 24.
