As part of a multi-pronged campaign to drum up buzz for Arrow Season 2 (premiering Wednesday, Oct. 9), The CW is unveiling a quartet of posters that showcase its male stars’ inarguable assets — I mean, I’m already regretting the bagel I had this morning — and TVLine has your first look at the one featuring no less than the show’s pectacular lead.
Elsewhere in the cyberverse, you’ll find posters that show David Ramsey (who plays Diggle), Colton Haynes (Roy) and Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson) also “Coming Back Strong,” as the tagline reads.

But is Oliver coming back strong? As the superhero drama opens its sophomore run, the beefy billionaire is aiming to redefine his alter ego in the wake of the quake. “Last season, he didn’t care much what anyone thought of him, as Oliver Queen or as the Arrow, and this season he’s stepping into new challenges in both worlds,” showrunner Andrew Kreisberg said as part of TVLine’s Fall Preview Q&A. “As Oliver Queen, he’s taking a bigger role at his family’s company… and as the vigilante he decides that it’s not enough to just be crossing names off a list. He needs to be a hero, and part of that means adopting the moniker of Arrow.”
Guest stars/recurring players for Arrow Season 2 include Summer Glau (Firefly) as businesswoman Isabel Rochev, Bex Taylor-Klaus (The Killing) as Sin, Grant Gustin (Glee) as Barry Allen/The Flash, Dylan Bruce (Orphan Black) as Laurel’s co-worker Adam Donner, Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Spartacus) as Amanda Waller and Navid Negahban (Homeland) as The League of Assassins’ Al-Owal.
