Drop Dead Diva alum Josh Stamberg has landed a recurring role on the NBC drama, playing a “charming and fun” new neighbor in the apartment building Sarah now manages.

Stamberg will appear in at least five episodes of the coming season, according to The Wrap, which first reported on his casting.

While speaking of Sarah’s orbit, Ray Romano, as previously reported, is set to reprise his role as Hank in 12 to 15 episodes.

Oh delightful!! I was sad when he wasn’t brought back on DDD, but so glad to see he’s landed on Parenthood!!

  2. Amadeo says:

i’m sick of sarah’s Love Interests. give the woman a break. something she can build a real relationship without jumping on it.

    • Maris says:

Yes, if he turns into a love interest I swear to God!

    • Ari says:

I used to love Sarah but lately she is just a bedhopping airhead. What happened to the Sarah with substance? The Sarah that cared about her kids? Did she even talk to Amber last season? I swear I can’t remember any of her storylines with Drew or Amber.

  3. Paging Jason Ritter and/or Ray Romano.

  4. pecola says:

    so this means two things:
    1. Sarah’s getting a new lover….as she has for each season of Parenthood.
    2. Sarah’s getting a new job…as she has for each season of Parenthood.

    • J. Norman says:

And Sarah has not managed to make one good decision (love life, work) since the show began.
She always manages to either botch or outright sagotage everthing. She really outdid herself at her brothers (Adams company). You know,

      1) demanding a raise after she was at the company for 3 weeks at a time when 20% of the employees were being laid off

      2) Immediately starting an affair with the companys boss.

Yep, examples of her excellent decision making.

  5. CH says:

    Cue new love interest in 3 … 2 … 1 …

They really need to stop with the love triangles for Sarah. Either let her stay single (my personal vote) or get into a solid, long-term relationship.

  6. Rob says:

She has zero qualifications and/or reasons to manage an apartment building. She doesn’t even live on her own. I love Sarah but they never give her the proper development as a character as much as they’ve given to every other character on that show. Last season she should’ve explored her creativity more and this season should be about her finding success in creativity. Not managing an apartment building and having yet another love interest introduced. Honestly I was so surprise by how much I loved hank with her because I was really rooting for mark but Ray Romano threw that performance out of the park and really won me over. I hope this new guy winds up being a good friend and confidante that Sarah needs right now.

  7. Dick Whitman says:

    Anyone but Hank is OK.

  8. Alex says:

Love Lauren Graham, but gosh is Sarah annoying.

  9. Cate says:

Wow, a new male that she’s going to be interacting with? His penis will be in her within a month. Amber is the same way, except she’ll be crying in every scene as well. Those two used to be my favorite characters! Not sure when they became so vapid and obnoxious.

  10. Wendy says:

Josh Stamberg is everywhere these days. He just showed up on Suits!
