As Game of Thrones wrapped its latest run on Sunday night, HBO let loose with a flurry of new trailers and teasers for its fresh upcoming fare — Boardwalk Empire, the Larry David-fronted/star-studded TV-movie Clear History and Stephen Merchant‘s new comedy series included.
When Boardwalk returns Sept. 8, new players — some glimpsed below — will include Patricia Arquette (Medium) as Sally Wheet, the tough owner of a Tampa speakeasy; Jeffrey Wright (W.) as a Doctor of Divinity/philanthropist/the man who runs Harlem; Ron Livingston (Sex and the City) as an out-of-towner who catches Gillian Darmody’s eye; Domenick Lombardozzi (Breakout Kings) as Al Capone’s older brother Ralph; and Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker) as a prohibition agent newly relocated to Atlantic City.

Premiering Saturday, Aug. 10, HBO Films’ Clear History stars Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s David as a marketing exec for a start-up electric car company who loses out big time after giving up his share in the biz prior to a billion-dollar sales boom. (In the teaser below, you see the beginning of his end.) Humiliated, David’s character hides away on an island off Massachusetts until something from the past threatens his new life.
In addition to Mad man Jon Hamm (featured in the clip), the ensemble includes Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live), Philip Baker Hall, Kate Hudson (Glee), Michael Keaton, Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down) , Amy Ryan (The Office) and Curb alum J.B. Smoove.
Lastly, the eight-episode comedy series Hello Ladies stars The Office scribe and Life’s Too Short/Extras player Stephen Merchant as a gawky Englishman searching for the woman of his dreams in Los Angeles. It bows Sunday, Sept. 29.
