On TV this Thursday: Saving Hope’s Alex may break the neck of Charlie’s ex, Suits‘ Trevor may break some news to Jessica, Breaking Pointe may break some hearts and The Wanted may break some decibel levels. As but a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are eight programs worth watching tonight.
8 pm Breaking Pointe (The CW) | Once the final rehearsals are over, Adam must decide who’ll dance the lead roles. Kids, remember: As Showgirls taught us, if you don’t get the part, your rival could always have an “accident.” Break a leg!
8 pm The Wanted: Live From the Beacon Theater (FUSE) | The British boy band sings its hits “Glad You Came” and “Chasing the Sun,” but you may not be able to hear them over all of the high-pitched screaming
coming from my living room. Look for Taio Cruz to make a dynamite guest appearance.
8 pm It’s Me or the Dog (Animal Planet)| Though this episode is called “Saving Snooki,” it has nothing to do with rescuing a diminutive expectant mother from the dangers of self-tanner. Instead, Victoria intervenes when a family’s lack of care for their pooch borders on neglect.
8:30 pm Lab Rats (Disney XD) | Leo borrows a high-speed helicopter to take Janelle on a date. What could possibly go wrong?
9 pm Saving Hope (NBC) | Alex deals with a medical mystery — you know, aside from her fiancé being in a coma — while having to contend with Charlie’s annoying ex-wife, to boot.
9 pm 41 (HBO) | Among the tidbits you’ll pick up in this documentary about the life of George H. W. Bush: His oil company, Zapata Petroleum, was named after Viva Zapata!, a film about the Mexican revolutionary figure.
10 pm Suits (USA Network) | Catch up with the first season marathon (starting at 6 pm/5c), then settle in with the Season 2 premiere, in which Mike feels like a million bucks after Harvey lets him close a huge suit. Too bad the almost-lawyer doesn’t know that Trevor and Jessica have talked. Also, after Daniel — aka the other half of Pearson Hardman — shows up, Harvey reevaluates how much he’ll do to protect Mike’s secret. Make sure to read TVLine’s preview of the upcoming season.
10 pm We Were Here (PBS) | Marking 30 years since AIDS first mystified American doctors, this documentary tells the story of five people who lived in San Francisco in the early 1980s as the city became the disease’s epicenter.
