Homeland terrorist Marin Ireland is about to make another Killing.
The actress — who played one half of a lethal, anti-American husband-wife team during the Showtime drama’s inaugural season — is joining The Killing in the potentially recurring role of Liz, sister to Joel Kinnaman’s Detective Holder.
The character is described as a tough, blue collar girl who won’t take you-know-what from her brother — or anybody for that matter.
Ireland’s TV credits also include a recurring gig on CBS’ A Gifted Man and a supporting role in HBO’s Mildred Pierce.
Season 2 of the AMC thriller, which will continue chronicling the Larsen case as well as delve into a new mystery, kicks off Sunday, April 1, at 8/7c with a two-hour opener. “It picks up the moment you left it behind, and from there the stakes just jump 500 percent,” leading lady Mireille Enos recently told TVLine. “The mystery just keeps unfolding and everything keeps getting more and more personal for all of these characters.”
