Martin Lawrence is plotting his return to the small screen nearly 15 years after his ’90s hit Martin concluded. 

CBS on Friday gave the green light to an untitled comedy pilot starring the funnyman as a widowed father of two who, after losing his construction job, decides to enter the police academy and become a cop — at age 46.

Michael Green (The River, Heroes) and Sam Maydew (SLC Punk!) will write and exec produce the multi-camera project.
