On your TV this Monday: Dan’s book elicits much Gossip, things get literally and figuratively steamy in Bluebell, and “exes” mark the spot for one broke girl and Five-0‘s Chin Ho. As but a supplement to TVLine’s original features and reporting, here are 11 programs to keep on your radar.
8 pm Gossip Girl (The CW) | Dan comes clean to everyone about his book, hoping for their support. But for Blair and Louis, the tome could have significant repercussions.
8 pm How I Met Your Mother (CBS) | Ted invites the gang’s skepticism-slash-cynicism by booking a date with a girl he didn’t first vet via Internet snooping (or as I call it, “Face-stalking”). My handy tip: If she’s jutting her tongue out while making rock-n-roll fingers in every Facebook/Lockerz photo, pass.
8 pm The Sing-Off (NBC) | The 10 finalists this week pull from songs on their “guilty pleasures” – not that anyone wants to see a half-dozen harmonizers moaning “I Touch Myself.”
8 pm Terra Nova (Fox) | While Taylor & Co. are wary of taking in an orphaned Sixer seeking asylum, cutie guard boy (finally!) reveals he has feelings for Jim’s daughter Maddie.
8 pm The Lying Game (ABC Family) | It’s the fall finale, and Sutton returns home with revenge on her mind. Oh honey, that is totally Emily Thorne’s thing. I believe “payback” is still available, though!
8:30 pm 2 Broke Girls (CBS) | The gals throw a ’90s-themed party at the diner to raise money for their cupcake business. One unanticipated guest: Caroline’s mega-rich ex-boyfriend.
8:30 pm Monday Night Football (ESPN) | The Jets host the Dolphins, instantly evoking my childhood memories and Dad and I watching Namath face off against Griese.
9 pm Hart of Dixie (The CW) | In perhaps the freshman drama’s most entertaining episode to date, a Bluebell heat wave has the town sizzling in more ways than one, as tensions run almost as high as a few libidos. There is bountiful damp and/or drenched flesh on display, especially for those who appreciate guys with hip cuts (while the way Rachel Bilson wears one particular dress dares the show to jump to cable). Count on at least two would-be couples to lean in for what are poised to be incendiary kisses.
9 pm House (Fox) | When Wentworth Miller checks in as a patient, who do you call for a consult? Why, Dr. Sara Tancredi of course! But since she’s busy fending off zombies, we’ll make do with another pretty former prison doc,Jessica Adams (new series regular Odette Annable). Also: Thirteen’s number is up.
10 pm Hawaii Five-0 (CBS) | The team receives more bad news about Kono; Chin Ho reconnects with his ex-fiancee (returning guest star/24 alum Reiko Aylesworth).
10 pm Castle (ABC) | This is the one where Castle is studded out to work his charm on an art insurance investigator played by The Killing‘s Kristin Lehman, while Jessica Tuck (True Blood, and Nathan Fillion’s kinda-sorta One Life to Live half-sister) guests as a museum benefactor under suspicion.
