Syfy Sets Sanctuary Return Date, Finales for Eureka, Alphas, Haven and W13

Syfy has announced a premiere date of Friday, Oct. 7 for Season 4 of Sanctuary — and to hear the cabler’s press release tell it, the 13 new episodes will “change everything.” But how, you ask?

“With the arrival of the Hollow Earth refugees, the balance between Abnormals and humans is severely upset,” reads Syfy’s Season 4 teaser. “In order to keep the peace, Magnus and team must throw out the rulebook. But forging their own way means they’re not just dodging dangerous Abnormals anymore, now they’ve got world governments and new villains nipping at their heels.”

Other premieres set by Syfy include Paranormal Witness, a new “high-octane” docudrama that “brings to life the real stories of people who have lived through paranormal experiences that defy explanation” (Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 10 pm, leading out of Ghost Hunters); Scare Tactics Season 4.5 (Monday, Oct. 10 at 9 pm); Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files (Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 10 pm).

Meanwhile, here are some finale dates to jot down on your Franklin Planner: Eureka ends Season 4.5 on Sept. 19; Alphas finishes its freshman run on Sept. 26; Haven ties up Season 2 on Sept. 30; and Warehouse 13 closes the door on its third cycle with a two-hour episode airing Oct. 3.

Also on tap for Syfy: The original movie Zombie Apocalypse, starring Ving Rhames and about exactly what it says, premieres Saturday, Oct. 29, while Neverland, a four-hour event starring Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man) as James Hook, Keira Knightley as the voice of Tinker Bell, Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Captain Elizabeth Bonny, Bob Hoskins (Hook) as Smee, and Charlie Rowe as Peter Pan, will air across two nights Dec. 4 and 5.
