TVLine Items: SOA's Newest Cop, Idol Star's Talented Past, and Other TV News to Know

Transformers: Dark of the Moon actor LaMonica Garrett has joined Sons of Anarchy‘s fourth season as another new Charming cop, TVLine has learned.

Following this week’s announcement that Prison Break‘s Rockmond Dunbar was set to play the FX drama’s new sheriff, Garrett has landed a multi-episode arc as Deputy Sheriff Cane, “also a no-nonsense type,” he reveals. As of now, Garrett has only worked opposite Dunbar, but he teases that there are some heated scenes with SAMCRO on the way.

“The energy on set this first week of shooting was amazing,” he raves. “I’m so excited to be apart of this series, as well as working with director Paris Barclay and creator Kurt Sutter.”

Speaking of SOA, Monsters & Critics reports that Entourage‘s Debi Mazar has also joined the series as SAMCRO’s federal parole agent.

Talent judge Piers Morgan happened to be a guest on the program as well and joked with Alaina about the show’s oversight, calling it a “scandal.”

Roseanne Barr is in talks to guest star on NBC’s new midseason sitcom, Are Your There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, says The Hollywood Reporter. Barr would play Chelsea Handler’s aunt.
