TVLine Items: Johnny Galecki Gets an Entourage, and Other TV News to Know

Leonard Hofstadter is ditching his Big Bang pals to rub elbows with the Hollywood elite in an upcoming episode of Entourage. (Don’t worry, it’s temporary.)

Johnny Galecki will stop by the HBO hit eighth season for a quick cameo, per E! Online, and his role is quite a stretch.

Galecki is set to play…himself, only tougher and looking for new representation in the biz. That’s where the Entourage crew comes in, mainly Eric and Scott who try to land the TV vet as a client. Faux Johnny may even try to swoop in on E’s girl, Sloane.

Here’s some other TV news that might pique your interest:

• The future of Two and a Half Men is a big ol’ question mark today after reports of Charlie Sheen’s weekend bender surfaced Monday. Sources close to the situation tell Deadline that CBS and WBTV would like to stage an intervention of sorts, shutting down production temporarily while Sheen receives treatment for his issues. Unfortunately, Sheen refuses to seek help and has reportedly threatened legal action should the studio move ahead with the hiatus.

• Paola Turbay has signed on to True Blood‘s fourth season, says Deadline. The part of Antonia is mainly underwraps, other than the fact that she’ll speak fluent Spanish. Guess away!

• In addition to his upcoming talk show on HLN, Dr. Drew has signed on to host Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers, a daily half-hour daytime show on the CW, per Broadcasting & Cable.
