What to Watch Tonight

Parks and Rec's End Begins, Face Off Returns and More

On TV this Tuesday: Parks and Rec comes back to the future, Face Off returns with a twist, a Cougar Town resident bids adieu and Nick Kroll’s fictitious alter-egos return for a last hurrah. Here are 10 programs to keep on your radar:

  • NBC
    Parks and Recreation

Final season premiere, two episodes: First, it’s 2017 as Leslie goes up against tech company Gryzzl in an effort to secure the lands for a national park, while Ben is honored at a Bicentennial gala. Then, Leslie and Ron team up to protect Jamm from the wrath of Tammy 2 (Megan Mullally). (Back-to-back episodes will air every week through the Feb. 24 finale.)

  • ABC
    Marvel's Agent Carter

Agent Carter’s mission is threatened when the SSR arrests Jarvis and a top secret is exposed.

  • CBS
    NCIS: New Orleans

Pride’s team partners with CGIS Agent Abigail Borin (recurring NCIS player Diane Neal) to help piece together a double murder.

  • SyFy
    Face Off

Season 8 premiere: Three former champions – Rayce Bird (Season 2), Anthony Kosar (Season 4) and Laura Tyler (Season 5) – select teams of their own to coach.

  • NBC
    Marry Me

Jake and Annie worry the other is cheating on them… with their favorite television show. We know the feeling. Rob Riggle (Dumb and Dumber To) guest-stars.

  • Fox
    The Mindy Project

In San Francisco, Mindy questions her relationship with Danny after running into an ex (Lee Pace, Halt and Catch Fire). Back in New York, Danny and Morgan suspect Lauren is cheating on Jeremy with Peter.

  • NBC
    Chicago Fire

In search for answers, Severide and Dawson begin their own investigation into Shay’s death.

  • CBS
    Person of Interest

As news reports swirl about a pair of vigilantes, Control (returning guest star Camryn Manheim) ponders Samaritan’s motivations.

  • TBS
    Cougar Town

Travis enlists Ellie’s help to destroy Laurie’s baby name choices; Bobby considers an out-of-state job offer. (We’re guessing he takes it.)

  • Comedy Central
    Kroll Show

Final season premiere: The end is near for PubLIZity’s Liz G., Dr. Armond, Bobby Bottleservice and all of your favorite characters.

PARKS AND REC!!!!!!!! I’m SO happy about it coming back but SO sad about it ending soon. It truly was one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen on television. Definitely on par with Seinfeld and Arrested Development for me.

  2. Liza says:

Cougar Town is really lacking without Bobby!!!!

    • Lizo says:

I don’t think its lacking persay, it’s just clear that something is missing. But I’m not going to go and blame/punish the writers and other actors, it’s VanHolt’s fault and I’m going to be less eager to support him in future projects.

Re NCIS New Orleans: anytime Diane Neal guest stars as CGIS agent Abby Borin, I’m happy. I love her chemistry with the whole NCIS crew, so it will be interesting to see how well she fits in with the New Orleans team. Looking forward to this episode.

Looking forward to Parks & Rec!

As for Mindy, I’m thinking the San Francisco idea came before Fox ordered additional episodes. They were probably going to have Mindy off in SF for the duration of the hiatus but now that they have a full-season order they’ve kind of painted themselves into a corner and the show kind of feels discombobulated now…
