Killer Killing Scoop: Could Mitch's Sister Be Involved In Rosie Larsen's Murder?

KILLINGmitch_DW

I have a killer theory: Somehow, someway The Killing‘s Aunt Terry (played by Jamie Anne Allman) is involved in the murder mystery surrounding her late niece Rosie Larsen.

I’ve been nursing this idea for a few weeks now, and while I won’t go so far as to say the supportive family member ended Rosie’s life herself, I definitely think she knows something — and that the something I speak of needs to come out soon.

Ever the sleuth, I ran my theory by Michelle Forbes (Mitch) …READ MORE

Emmys 2011: Analyzing the Best Drama Series Race — Including Our 6 Dream Nominees

Emmys
emmys2011_dramaseries_514

This category might as well be called Outstanding cable Drama Series. Between the strong contenders on HBO (Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones), AMC (Mad Men, The Killing, The Walking Dead) and FX (Justified, Sons of Anarchy), the broadcast networks will be lucky if they get one show in the running. If they do, that show will likely be the best of the bunch, CBS’ The Good Wife.

Mad Men, Fringe, Good Wife, Modern Family, Community, Justified Lead Critics Choice Kudos

In what hopefully will turn out to be a harbinger of the 2011 Emmys, the nominations for the inaugural Critics’ Choice Television Awards were announced this morning, and a handful of acclaimed yet heretofore kudos-deprived series were at last singled out. ABC’s red-hot Modern Family received the most nods of any program (six), followed by fellow awards magnet Mad Men. But about those breakthrough shows… READ MORE

The Killing's Latest Mystery: Why Hasn't AMC Renewed It For a Second Season?

MEnos_514_2

Forget the Rosie Larsen murder. The unsolved mystery keeping me up nights is when will AMC renew The Killing for a second season?

By AMC standards, the show is a hit. Season to date, the whodunit is hovering around the 2 million viewer mark —  roughly on par with the network’s crown jewel, Mad Men. Yet, with only four episodes left before the finale, a pickup order has yet to come.

It's Official: The Killing's Mireille Enos to Play Brad Pitt's Wife in World War Z

MEnos_BPitt_300

The breakout star of The Killing has landed a role to die for.

Mireille Enos — who plays lead homicide detective Sarah Linden on AMC’s addictive murder mystery — has formally signed on to costar opposite Brad Pitt in World War Z, Paramount’s upcoming adaptation of Max Brooks’ post-apocalyptic tome.

Earlier this week, TVLine’s sister site Deadline broke the news that Enos was circling the role of Karin Lane, wife of Gerard Lane (Pitt), in the high profile project — and now the actress herself tells TVLine, …READ MORE

Question: Please tell me these rumors of a Glee death during May Sweeps aren’t true! –Eric
Ausiello:
Rumors of a Glee death aren’t true. Glee DEATHS on the other hand? That’s totally happening. Sources confirm to me exclusively that this season’s penultimate episode, which bears the ominous title “Funeral,” is about the death of several things. One being a beloved character. The other being a major couple.

Question: Do you have any Grey’s Anatomy scoop pertaining to Meredith and Derek? —Sam
Ausiello:
TVLine’s double wedding theory isn’t looking so far-fetched after all. The synopsis ABC released for the May 5 episode — which revolves around Callie and Arizona’s nuptials — includes this telltale line: …READ MORE

Question: I’m dying for more information on Castle and Beckett sharing the same hotel room in Castle‘s upcoming L.A. episode. —Ashley
Ausiello:
It’s not as contrived as it sounds. There’s actually a very plausible explanation for the slumber party. “Beckett booked a hotel on a cop’s salary that’s located all the way out in the valley,” explains exec producer Andrew W. Marlowe, “and Castle has a two-bedroom suite at a high-end hotel in Beverly Hills.” Um, duh. The Valley vs. 90210? Take it from an L.A. sorta-native — it’s a no-brainer. Anyway, one thing leads to another which, in turn, leads to… sex? “She certainly thinks about it, and considers it,” teases Marlowe. “She’s emotionally raw because they’ve come out to Los Angeles in the aftermath of the murder of her training officer, so she’s dealing with those emotions and kind of where she is in life. We call it our ‘Walls of Jericho’ moment for any [viewers] out there who are fans of It Happened One Night.” (Someone please CliffsNotes that last sentence for me in the comments; I cover TV, not movies.)

Question: Any scoop on The Big Bang Theory? —Amanda
Ausiello:
An upcoming episode sounds as much like Grey’s Anatomy as it does BBT. When Howard breaks it to his overbearing mother that he and Bernadette are engaged, …READ MORE

Ratings: Killing Looks Bloody Good, Kennedys Sets Reelz Record, Borgias Opens Strong

KILLINGlinden

AMC’s well-reviewed The Killing got off to a solid start, drawing 2.7 million viewers with its first Sunday-night broadcast and amassing 4.6 million across two airings, Variety reports. As AMC debuts go, that’s second only to last Halloween’s The Walking Dead, which drew 5.6 mil.

Over on Reelz, the premiere of the Kennedys miniseries drew 1.9 million viewers — a record for that channel, says EW — while Showtime’s The Borgias totaled 1.49 million total viewers across two airings, besting Shameless‘ own opener (1.33 mil) to give the pay cabler a seven-year high for a drama debut.
