Ratings: ABC Has To Be Happy About 10 PM; The CW's Wedding Finale Packs On Viewers

The beginning of Happy Endings was a case of “OK news, better news” for ABC on Wednesday.

The sitcom’s special 9:30 pm bow drew 7.27 million total viewers and a 2.7 demo rating, which (at 76 percent and 71 percent) is almost on par with the Modern Family audience retention that Mr. Sunshine enjoyed in its own debut. (Though the Matt Perry comedy premiered to larger numbers, Modern Family this week was down 12 percent, hitting a season low.)

Ratings: Criminal Minds Spin-off Plunges, CW's Wedding Sheds Top Model Viewers

As — wait for it — suspected, CBS’ Criminal Minds spin-off lost viewers in its second week, dropping 23 percent of its premiere audience and plunging 26 percent to a 2.5 rating with the 18-49 crowd. That said, Suspect Behavior still led the 10 o’clock hour in viewers and tied SVU in the demo.

The CW's Midseason Sked Finds New Home For Hellcats

The CW’s Hellcats will be doing a handspring to a new time slot as part of the network’s rather mild midseason shakeup.

With Life Unexpected airing its series finale on January 18 (with back-to-back episodes), the freshman cheer drama will claim the Tuesdays-at-9, aprés-One Tree Hill spot the following week, starting Jan. 25.
