HGTV Design Star Season Finale Recap: And the Winner Is…

There was a moment toward the end of HGTV Design Star‘s Season 6 finale where I had a brief fantasy that the judges panel would get inspired by the recently concluded Glee Project and declare multiple winners. Imagine if they greenlit a show in which …READ MORE

HGTV Design Star: And Then There Were Two

I wondered for a hot second if this week’s episode of HGTV Design Star would end in a Gladiator-style duel to the death. After all, returning judge Candice Olson (who’s been sorely missed all these weeks) seemed to be setting up a swords-and-sandals scenario when she asked our two finalists to …READ MORE

HGTV Design Star Recap: Antacid Reign

When a reality-show contestant kicks off an episode with a grandiose declaration, you know he’s getting set up to experience either the thrill of victory, or the agony of defeat. On this week’s HGTV Design Star, said contestant was

HGTV Design Star Recap: Box Tops

HGTV Design Star brought back its iconic white-box challenge for Monday night’s episode, and while a few contestants filled their blank-canvases with dazzling colors, funky textures, and outrageous furnishings, others collapsed under the hefty freedom of being able to work with no boundaries. …READ MORE
