Psych Exclusive: Cast Reveals Favorite Moments From First 100 Episodes

James Roday (Shawn)

"That’s an awfully tough question. Shawn and Gus singing ‘Shout’ as MJ and Roland kind of encompasses the show as a whole, but I’m guessing that was Dulé’s answer. Shawn and Gus running out of the sorority house screaming like girls in ‘Scary Sherry’ definitely set the stage for a lot of fun to come. Shawn and Juliet’s first kiss. Juliet being consoled by Lassiter after ‘Yin Presents.’ Sheryl Lee as Doc Gooden staring down at Paula in ‘Dual Spires.’ There are so many!"

Dulé Hill (Gus)

"’American Duos.’ Singing ‘Shout’ with James Roday as Roland Orzabal and I as Michael Jackson from ‘Thriller.’ Jheri curl, red leather jacket, tight red jeans and black penny loafers? Whaaaat! Then top it off with screaming fans (… I mean, they were hired and directed to scream for us, but that’s neither here nor there) losing their minds after the moonwalk and toe stand? Sha’mon SON!! (You see what I did there? C’mon son, Sha’mon son? You see that?) Anyway, add in the fact that John Landis was directing and this definitely reaches the top of my list for favorite Psych moments. It was the top of Season 2, very early on in the run of our show, and this moment is when I realized that we were in for a special ride.”

Maggie Lawson (Juliet)

"The moment when Juliet falls into Lassiter's arms in ‘Mr. Yin Presents.’ It signifies so much about their entire journey. And I think it was a turning point in their relationship."

Corbin Bernsen (Henry)

"It’s at the end of Season 6 when I hand Shawn the Swiss Army knife, essentially passing the torch, quitting both my job as a cop and my job as a father (to some degree) in shaping the man he will become."

Kirsten Nelson (Karen)

"For the chief, it’s a shared moment between Chief Vick and Shawn at the end of ‘Shawn (and Gus) of the Dead.’ After the chief is hired full time by the mayor and a celebratory mood takes over, the chief sees the incriminating photo of her competitor in the newspaper and realizes, with a glint in his eye, that Shawn helped bring about this scenario, and is extremely grateful. There are no words, just a knowing look between the two. And also for the show, it’s a moment in ‘Mr. Yin Presents…’ After Lassiter and Gus have saved Juliet from the clutches of Yin/Yang, freeing her from the clock tower, Juliet’s last bit of stoicism melts away as she collapses into her partners arms. She’s crying for so much more than her rescue — but for Shawn, too."

Timothy Omundson (Carlton)

"Asking me to choose a favorite on screen moment from the past 100 episodes is like asking me to pick a favorite cast member (shhh, its Maggie) or a favorite guest star. There are simply just too many amazing options to choose from. I could pick a top 50, maybe. They would all have one thing in common: the laughing after they say ‘cut’ — laughing with the most amazing group of actors and friends that I have ever been lucky enough to share a screen with."

Steve Franks (Creator)

“I am going off the board here, but my favorite moment is in the episode ‘Ghost.’ Shawn finds out from his mother that Henry (his father) was not responsible for ending the marriage between his parents. He looks out and sees the man he had blamed for the break-up of his family in a new light for the first time.”
