Michael Slezak has exhaustively covered the past seven seasons of American Idol, recapping hundreds of episodes, conducting in-depthinterviews with the show’s finalists, and hosting the popular Web series Idoloonies, Idolatry, and Realité. In the process, he has become one of the nation’s leading Idol experts, appearing on Good Morning America, Today, CBS’ Early Show, NPR and Fox News, and even writing an essay for the New York Times (titled “Worshipping at the ‘Idol’ Church”). Since joiningTVLine in January 2011, Slezak has dug deeper into the reality genre, also providing morning-after commentary on The X Factor, The Voice, Dancing With the Stars, Project Runway, Survivor, The Next Food Network Star, So You Think You Can Dance, The Glee Project, and Glee, to name a few. He has also helped launch a series of popular bracket tournaments at TVLine, including the Ultimate Law-Enforcement Crush, ‘Glee’ All-Time Best Musical Number, and ‘Renew Our Show’ 2011.
