How’s this for ringing in the new year? Sam Rockwell has been tapped to host the first Saturday Night Live of 2018.
The Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri star and newly christened Golden Globe nominee will preside over Studio 8H as a first-time host on Saturday, Jan. 13. He will be joined by musical guest Halsey, who’s also performing on SNL for the first time.
NBC confirmed the news with a tweet:
Currently starring alongside Frances McDormand and Woody Harrelson in the critically acclaimed drama Three Billboards, Rockwell is also known for his roles in Matchstick Men, Moon and Galaxy Quest. His TV credits include F Is for Family, Inside Amy Schumer and Drunk History.
Happy to see Sam Rockwell get a shot at SNL? Or would you rather see his co-star Frances McDormand take the Studio 8H stage? (Hey, she’s never hosted, either.) Drop your thoughts in a comment below.
