Tom Holland's 'Umbrella': Watch the Greatest Lip Sync Battle of All Time

If you’re impressed by Tom Holland‘s web-slinging abilities, just wait until you see him dance!

The star of Spider-Man Homecoming opted to take on Rihanna’s “Umbrella” during a special episode of Lip Sync Battle, which aired Sunday on MTV before its first-ever Movie & TV Awards — and it just might be the greatest moment in the franchise’s history.

What began as a simple (yet still impressive) “Singin’ in the Rain” send-up quickly transformed into a sexy, high-energy rendition of the RiRi classic… complete with a next-level death drop we’ll be replaying in our brain for all of time.

For what it’s worth, Zendaya — Holland’s Homecoming co-star — also crushed her per-faux-mance of Bruno Mars’ “24k Magic.” But there was no competition here.

Hit PLAY on the video below to watch Holland’s take on “Umbrella,” then drop a comment with your review.

Watched it last night and it was awesome. Kudos to Tom Holland who pulled out his best Rihanna gag singing Umbrella not to mention the classic track Ride Wit Me by Nelly. SPOILER ALERT: he beat his co-star Zendaya as the Lip Sync Battle Champion. BTW, they better booked celebs like Emma Stone and hopefully Brie Larson for future episodes.

  2. That possibly outdid Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s and that’s saying a LOT.

He was almost too good at that. Haha. Wonderful job!

  5. Wordsmith says:

Competitors with actual dance training certainly have an edge on this show. See also: Anna Kendrick, Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

Of course. Tom Holland can sing He can dance. He was in the West End production of Billy Elliot. Tom is considered one of the best Billys.

  10. Wordsmith says:

To Zendaya’s credit, if the show was judged purely on lip sync ability rather than choreo and production values, she won it, no question. She put a crazy amount of personality into her performances.

That was impressive! Think Holland should be in Magic Mike 3 if they ever make it!
