Billy Bush Instagram Video

Billy Bush Teases TV Return in Bizarre Video: Would You Welcome Him Back?

Disgraced TV host Billy Bush is willing to do anything to return to the airwaves — even if he has to croon his way back into the studio.

But don’t take our word for it. Just watch this Instagram video Bush posted Tuesday night, in which he literally sings (in the key of Grease) about clawing his way back into the spotlight:

In case you’re a little fuzzy on the details surrounding Bush’s exit from television — a lot has happened in the world since Oct. 2016, so we can’t really fault you — here’s a refresher: One month prior to the 2016 presidential election, a 2005 video surfaced of Donald Trump and then-Access Hollywood host Bush making lewd comments about women, including Trump’s now-infamous “grab ’em by the p–y” line.

Though Bush apologized for his part in the incident, saying that he’s “embarrassed and ashamed” of his actions, he was suspended — then fired — from his Today Show gig.

What say you, people of the Internet? Is there any conceivable scenario in which you could forget Bush’s transgressions and welcome him back into your living rooms? Vote in our poll below, then drop a comment with more of your thoughts. (For the record, Team TVLine casts its collective vote for “no.”)

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

  1. TJ says:

Please, the real scum became 45. If he can reside in the WH, Billy should be given a second chance.

  2. Van says:

I never liked billy before the election. He’s a poor mans billy crystal, and a bigger douche than seacrest.

  3. Collette says:

He was caught in a s**t or go blind situation and made the wrong choice. On a scale of 1-10 that’s about a 4. If people like Mel Gibson, Chris Brown etc. can still work, why shouldn’t BB?

  4. Gotta say, Hollywood has welcomed back Mel Gibson lately. Donald Trump was ELECTED after his first hand comments. I dont care for this guy, but I think he deserves a second chance.

  5. Annie says:

In normal circumstances I’d say maybe not but given that the interviewee is the goddamn president then sure, why not?

  6. Michelle cohen says:

Bush made comments with Trump….and HE became president. Clearly if ppl forgave the man whose comments were horrendous ppl can forgive the interviewer who only asked the questions and was never part of the groping of these woman
Billy bush took the fall for trumps actions. He has paid the price. Get him back on the air. Pronto.

  7. Billy Bob Johnson says:

Hey, Billy Bush-wacker wants to make a comeback. But, seriously, there comes a point in time when he’s served his time for being an a-hole. Not saying it should be right now, but Hollywood still lets Mel Gibson, Woody Allen and Roman Polanski make and promote movies. Compared to those guys, Bush’s offense is somewhat minor.

  8. Judy says:

If Trump can continue to be president and have said the things he’s said, then Billy can come back to TV. Billy was the fall guy for Trump’s statements.

  9. xomylifexo says:

There should not be higher standards for a television host than the President.

That said, we should be raising the standard, not lowering it so Trump can squeeze through. No, all should not be forgiven and forgotten.

  10. AnnieM says:

Seeing as he’s a talent-less clown who only was given a career in the first place due to the novelty of his cousin being POTUS at the time (Dubya), NO. I’m sure an infomercial or shopping channel would welcome him with open arms. Let him work there, and the majority of us would never have to suffer through his presence again.

  11. Eileen says:

It was job to get Trump to say stupid things, then he gets fired for doing his job and Trump gets to be president. Yes he deserves to make a comeback like every other jerk in show business.

  12. Flakeo Hardly says:

Hell to the no. There’s already too much douchery in the media landscape. He and Ryan Lochte should hang out and nozzle it up together until the end of their days.

  13. Lynn says:

The best thing to come out of this is I could watch the Today show again since he’s not on it. Although I guess the third hour is going away so he may have been out anyway. I never could stand him, he’s just so phony and full of himself.

  14. Tony Lang says:

So, Billy Bush, Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton and Bill O’Reilly walk into a bar…

  15. Jeanne Allegra says:

I think when Sean Spicer resigns (inevitable to occur soon), Billy Bush should be given his job. He will be back in television, defending the indefensible Trump! It is the only Billy Bush gig I would watch with delight.

    • Lynn says:

I think we’ve had enough Bush’s in the White House. His cousin and his uncle were president and that was bad enough.

  16. Barbara O'Hara says:

If the nation can have Trump as our president, then Billy should be allowed to be in tbe public eye also !

  17. gottahavehopehope says:

Billy didn’t do anything he’s a talk show host for goodness sake!!!! I don’t get people anymore , you can swear, degrade , and humiliate,in songs…but just so you don’t stray from the p.c police ! ! We are losing big time, tolerance and freedom .

  18. Caryl says:

He really got shafted. In the incident, one became President and one got fired! I am a woman and I don’t appreciate what women have had to endure. I do believe after Cosby. Bush and now O’Reilly…Men may have to become more civilized, thank goodness and yet i’d like to see Billy back. I stopped watching the show that fired him. I watched the show because he was on it. It isn’t fair. It was a long time ago. I excuse him. Not hearing the whole conversation, what Trump said is correct. Many women. Will let a celebrity or any rich man do anything.

  19. A fan of TV says:

On the same day there’s a job opening at Fox News for a chauvinist tool. What pathetic irony.
Sad reality is that this guy is no worse than the man the U.S. actually elected as their President, so if you’re going to let that ayhole dictate public policy, every sick, stupid man in America deserves a fantastic, public, grossly overpaid job.
No, I won’t watch. But that goes without saying. I can hardly watch the current course of global politics, as is.

  20. Jessica says:

People need to relax! He had to play a part interviewing him. Um, the majority of men in the world act, talk and sing that way. He doesn’t deserve to have his life destroyed over this. You know who deserves to have repercussions to his life and career? Chris Brown. For being an abuser. And yet his career only grows. Enough already!

  21. James T Rufini says:

Yes Billy Bush is smart, personable ,talented, and has paid for a mistake that happened many years ago.

There seems to be an a vendetta against him. Lighten up world…We are all human.
Give the Good Man a break!

  22. Naida Osorio says:

Yes, he should be given the chance to come back. Look, at Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, etc. I mean, I’m not a fan of his, but they left him out there to hang. #45 still got into office and all those others from celebrities to sportsman – have come back and been given a second chance.

  23. ravynrobyn says:

Billy made his biggest mistake when he BRAGGED about the tape to Today Show colleagues a year (?) or so ago. HOW MANY YEARS AFTER THE FACT?!?!?!? Tells me that he was trying to curry favor, or attention, to be one of the “kewl” guys, in with drumpf. Shows a severe lack of judgement and a high degree of insecurity.

That being said, I REALLY miss him on “Access Hollywood”. Natalie Morales is fine, but Kit and Billy had such amazing chemistry, their show was funny and fun.Probably wouldn’t watch him on anything else.

  24. B Burdick says:

There was no valid reason to fire Billy Bush. If Billy Bush should get fired so should 45. I see it as a double standard. Hire him back.

  25. gottahavehopehope says:

Totally do not think recording something said privately , is just that private ! He was a entertainment broadcaster ! Seriously he did not physically hurt anyone or anything ! Two guys blowing smoke !! We don’t have more important things to do !
