Once Upon a Time Sneak Peek: Tiger Lily Comes to Hook's... Rescue?

Captain Hook trades some problematic Lost Boys for a most formidable young woman, in this exclusive sneak peek from Sunday’s episode of ABC’s Once Upon a Time.

When last we tuned in, Blackbeard had left Hook (played by Colin O’Donoghue) to fend for himself after they unwittingly realm-hopped to not Storybrooke but Neverland. There, the Lost Boys give chase after Hook, determined to make him pay for what happened to their leader, Peter Pan.

Press play above to see how Tiger Lily (Native American actress Sara Tomko) inserts herself into the conflict, and why.

Describing Hook’s apparently prickly past with the Native American princess, Once co-creator Eddy Kitsis assures TVLine, “It wasn’t romantic,” noting: “If he worked for Pan, and she clearly doesn’t like Pan, she doesn’t like Hook either!”

Elsewhere in the episode, titled “Awake” and airing Sunday at 8/7c: Regina works to break the Charmings’ sleeping curse while Rumple and his mother, The Black Fairy, arrive at a fearsome impasse. In flashbacks, we learn what Snow and David sacrificed in order for Emma to fulfill her destiny as the Savior.

I love Hook and his sassy pirate comments and yep needs to get back home. Please leave his neck alone characters lol!!
Tiger Lily seems impressive in how she looks and so on.

Looking forward to this, it’s nice to see Killian get his own story for a little while, as much as I love him & Emma. I wonder if Emma will make it to Neverland too…

  3. Katie says:

I’m actually enjoying Hook’s adventures more than the main storyline that’s slogging along back in Storybrooke. Give me this fun, sassy Hook rolling his eyes and challenging the lost boys that stand in the way of getting home to his somebody. I wish the entire show was more fun adventures like this rather than the depressing, retcon-filled bore that it’s become this season.

    • Kathy says:

Couldn’t agree more. The scenes with him and Blackbeard in the last episode were the best by far.

      • 221bsam says:

I really like CaptainSwan but they made Killian into just the boyfriend, this is good, it shows that he’s a great character in his own right. I know he’ll get home but I agree, watching him use his pirate savvy is fun!

        • Val says:

He has always been a good standalone character since the start, his story and connections go long way back… and has connection to the show’s mythos, its why he fits in so well with the core cast that was from season 1 (as we know they did want Hook since season 1 but didnt get rights in time) I love all shades of Hook. I love him and his love for Emma. But its been also good seeing this sassy pirate and still fighting to get back to his Emma.

          • 221bsam says:

Agreed! I liked how he was written & how Colin portrayed him from his debut, it’s nice to see the pirate side of him a bit more prominent again. I wasn’t suggesting Killian hasn’t always been brill! just for a while he just seemed to be in the background.

    • OUATSucks says:

Cap’n Hook-Shmook always sucked he’s so effin annoying!!! Can’t belive they ditched Neal in favor of him so that they (writers) could cater the show towards dumb shippers!

  4. Butch says:

EW is showing that Once has a much better chance than most bubble shows to get renewed for another season. That is with the big reset that will reduce costs by reducing cast.

EW is showing that Once has a much better chance than most bubble shows to get renewed for another season. That is with the big reset that will reduce costs by reducing cast. Deadline is saying same thing contingent on landing new deals with Emma, Regina, Hook, and Rumple.

      • Val says:

I do think out of the cast these four have the biggest fanbases. So if they needed to bridge in new characters with them (hearing a new story and reboot), these four could work esp i think its important have Emma Swan in the show to be that main bridge.
And the show already have set in main couple with Emma/Hook, and they are popular.

  5. David Hess says:

If the Black Fairy is supposed to be the worst of the worst villians, then who would season 7’s big bad be? My guess is The Boogie Man.

  6. LolaHaze says:

So excited to see a Native American actress playing the role.

  7. ninergrl6 says:

Love it! Glad Hook has a storyline of his own. He obviously can carry it.
