Year in Review

2016 in Review: Best in Late Night — Adele Does Karaoke, 'Colbert' Revival, Kimmel's X-Files, Trump and More

A Walking Dead parody, an X-Files revival and a Donald Trump takedown (or three) represented just a few of our favorite moments from the year in late-night TV.

TVLine’s picks for the 20 best clips from Full Frontal, Jimmy Kimmel LiveThe Late ShowSNL and others, also include the return of two Comedy Central legends and a Carpool Karaoke that’ll have you rolling in the deep.

For those of you who favor the likes of John Oliver and Seth Meyers, we’ve also compiled a round-up of the best and worst moments leading up to the presidential election. And for those who prefer Conan O’Brien and James Corden’s nightly shenanigans, you’ll find that the following selection is pretty much a 50-50 split encompassing both political and apolitical bits. (Overlap, though kept to a minimum, was inevitable.)

Flip through the gallery on the right (or click here for direct access), then weigh in below and let us know which clips (and which late-night programs overall) you enjoyed most in 2016.

Coming up soon, as TVLine’s Year in Review starts to wind down: Quotes of the Year, The Dumbest Things TV Did and more!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

I will never get over how perfect the entire X-Files segment was. From the Gillian and DD interview (moist in the Anteroom anyone?) to Mulder and Scully making out on the table. Such a perfect night for an XF fan.

Bernie Sanders’ last Hungry for Power Games is missing. It was perfect, kinda sad too.
