Hari Dhillon This Is Us

This Is Us Adds SVU's Hari Dhillon as Randall's Work Rival

For This Is Us‘s Randall, things are about to get as complicated at work as they’ve been at home.

Hari Dhillon (Law & Order: SVU) has joined the cast of NBC’s hit freshman drama in a recurring role, according to our sister site Deadline. Dhillon will play a new workplace rival for Randall, played by Sterling K. Brown. Do we sense a commodities-trader fight brewing? At least maybe it’ll get Randall’s mind off all those adopted mom/birth father issues.

Dhillon has played attorney Sunil Varma in four episodes of SVU over the past three seasons; he also plays Pakistan’s foreign minister Konstantin Abedi on CBS’ Madam Secretary. Before that, he had a seven-year stint on the UK medical drama Holby City as surgeon Michael Spence.

This Is Us — which just scored three Golden Globe nominations, including one for Best Drama Series — returns with new episodes Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 9/8c on NBC.

This Is Us fans: Are you excited to see a little workplace conflict injected into Randall’s life? Sound off in the comments.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

FYI Dhillon started in Holby City in the UK , not Street.
    Great casting BTW!

  2. James says:

Holby City, not Holby Street. You must have confused his show with “Shortland Street”.

Four episodes, & he’s considered from SVU? He’s known for other things more than SVU-lol.
