Homeland Season 6 Trailer Goes Nuclear, Offers First 'Look' at Quinn

Homeland‘s full-length Season 6 trailer almost made it through its three-minute running time without addressing the elephant in the room. We said almost.

In the final seconds of the above teaser, Carrie is heard saying, “Quinn?” And then the screen fades to black and we hear Rupert Friend’s death-defying sniper ask, “What happened to me?”

The NYC-set Season 6 debuts Sunday, January 15 at 9/8c and focuses on the aftermath of a U.S. presidential election and the transition between election day and the inauguration for a president-elect (played by House of Cards‘ Elizabeth Marvel). Carrie (Claire Danes) — now residing in Brooklyn with Frannie — has begun working at a foundation which provides aid to Muslims living in the U.S. The action picks up “several months” after the events of Season 5.

Other key takeaways of the official trailer:

* Saul gets kidnapped again and F. Murray Abraham’s Dar appears complicit.
* Nuclear weapons apparently play a significant role.
* A pundit describes the political drama surrounding the incoming president as “the most difficult transfer of power in history.” Kinda eerie, huh?

This looks intense, very excited for the season. Also looking forward to seeing Heather Dunbar (from House of Cards) as the President! Who cares if they got the election wrong!

  2. Whoops! You were wrong a year ago. I was right) Lol

  3. Kevin says:

The upcoming season is going to be better than ever and Saul gets kidnapped again (same situation he was in during Season Four). We get to hear Quinn’s voice but haven’t seen his face and I’m wondering if Dar Adal is going back to the dark side.

  4. Michele says:

Looks absolutely fantastic! I’m so glad Quinn is back with (at least some) of his faculties.

  5. N!loofar says:

they better not be separated this season.

  6. Geo says:

Quinn surviving was a narrative cheat, but who cares? It’s good to have him back.

  7. Happy that Quinn is apparently still alive although the scenarios, demonizing Muslims…again, Iran nuclear weapons, spill over effect from 9/11 (that will never end), a Woman President, OK that’s apparently never going to happen and so far the Trump transition has been pretty smooth since everybody including the press is happy to garner ratings and turn a blind eye to all the crap going on.

  8. Josie F says:

Quinn looks so thin and gaunt but he is in a suit and present, hopefully for many episodes, so I’ll be watching the show. I had told myself that no Quinn no spectator (me) I’m glad because it looks like we’re in for another anxiety producing show.
