Ratings: Sunday Night Football Tackles a Season High With Giants/Cowboys

NBC Sunday Night Football‘s coverage of the Giants/Cowboys match-up delivered 23.4 million total viewers and a 7.7 demo rating, surging 58 and 51 percent from last week’s fast nationals  (Panthers/Seahawks) to set season highs.

SNF‘s previous fast nationals high for this fall was set Sept. 11 by Patriots/Cardinals (which did 20.7 mil and a 7.5).

Elsewhere in the ratings….

FOX | The Simpsons (5.7 mil/2.4) and Son of Zorn (3 mil/1.3) were steady, with the former leading the night’s non-sports fare. Family Guy (3 mil/1.4) slipped two tenths, while Last Man on Earth (2.2 mil/1.0) dipped a tenth.

CBS | Leading out of the colorized Dick Van Dyke Show special (7.4 mil/0.7 vs. NCIS: LA‘s most recent 11.4 mil/1.5), Madam Secretary (7.7 mil/0.7) slipped 14 and 30 percent to series lows. Elementary (4.9 mil/0.6) ticked down to match its series low.

ABC | Frozen (6.5 mil/1.7) scored Sunday’s second-best non-sports rating.

    Wow CBS didn’t have a good night but good for The Simpsons even if it is football inflated. Those are terrific numbers for the football game too bad the game itself was a bore
