The Flash Sneak Peek: What Brings Barry to Earth-Three?

Barry Allen puts another stamp on his speedster passport in this exclusive sneak peek from The Flash‘s fall finale.

In “The Present” (airing tonight at 8/7c), Barry is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris, so he travels to Earth-Three — why are there always Zeppelins? — to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp).

In the clip above, Barry arrives just in time to help his fellow Flash tussle with that Earth’s Trickster (played by Mark Hamill, whose make-up this go-round evokes the unmasked Darth Vader, amiright…?). Barry then reveals to Jay his specific mission. Press play above to see what it is.

Elsewhere in the episode, Wally irks Barry with a confession, while Cisco faces his first Christmas without his brother Dante, reopening fresh wounds.

Good sneak peek clip. Glad Mark is back on the show again. Excited to watch midseason finale episode tonight!

  4. Drew says:

As much as I love ‘The Flash’, I have to say: ‘Fringe’ had better Zeppelins than ‘The Flash’.

Did Flashpoint also change how close Cisco and Dante were? Cisco wasn’t exactly buddy buddy with his brother in the original timeline. He was jealous of Dante because he was the family favorite.

You don’t have to be close with a person to be upset when they die. And I say that from personal experience.

I was thinking that too. It seemed like they had a better relationship this time from the way Cisco talks about him. Cisco did not talk about Dante much in the original timeline, but I did notice things seem the opposite in flashpoint. Baby Sara is now Baby Johnny, Dante who was alive is now dead, Caitlin never had powers. What would have been interesting is if John never had a child or never married Lyla just like Martin never had a daughter, but did because he altered his own life. Dante thought Cisco was a freak because he saw Cisco was a meta in the original timeline. Maybe they did get closer.

Earth 3 Trickster looks NOTHING like Vader. He DOES look like Batman: the Animated Series Joker though.

For someone that has caused his fair share of problems Cisco is sure unforgiving. Think I’ll stick to recaps for awhile. I don’t like the direction of the show this season.

The recent crossover did its job – I may start watching this show.

Zeppelins are awesome, that’s why. At least in fiction they are, where all the major problems they have (speed being a big one) can be ignored.

He caught the bullets in his helmet! My JSA-loving heart goes pitter-patter. :-D

  11. Big Neal says:

All I can say is that they better not kill off Jay Garrick…….

  12. Agent 86 says:

I really hope that they eventually allow Lynda Carter to appear as an Earth 3 version of Wonder Woman. Or Wonder Woman from Earth … whatever.
