LIBBY & MALCOLM

Felicity Huffman-Courtney B. Vance Comedy Snags ABC Pilot Order

It’ll be politics as unusual for Felicity Huffman and Courtney B. Vance: The Emmy-winning duo’s very timely punditry comedy has scored an official pilot order at ABC.

Titled Libby & Malcolm, the potential series — from Black-ish creator Kenya Barris and co-executive producer Vijal Patel — explores how today’s “politics of division” plays out between two opposing pundits who also happen to be husband and wife. (Think James Carville and Mary Matalin.) Bitter work rivals on their show Black & Wright, the couple has to turn conflict into compromise at home when it comes to raising their kids.

Huffman will shoot the pilot after completing work on American Crime Season 3, which is currently in production. Vance, meanwhile, is coming off his Emmy-winning turn as Johnnie Cochran in American Crime Story: The People Vs O.J. Simpson.

As a news junkie myself, this actually sounds really interesting, and with Huffman and Vance headlining, I think I’ll have to tune in.

Didn’t even need to read the description – I’m in.

  3. I don’t care what it’s about. I watching. These two are acting beasts and I will take them however I can get them. How will one screen contain all this talent lol.
