Christina Applegate Lifetime Dramedy

Christina Applegate Family Dramedy in Development at Lifetime

Christina Applegate‘s small-screen career is about to take a serious turn.

The actress — best known for her comedic work on shows like Married… With Children (1987–1997), Jesse (1998–2000) and Samantha Who? (2007–2009) — has been tapped to star in a new dramedy for Lifetime, our sister site Deadline reports.

Your Time Is Up, written by Kathleen Robertson (Murder in the First) and produced by Gil Netter (Life of Pi), finds Applegate playing a put-upon psychologist struggling to reclaim her life after tragedy strikes her family. Per the report, her “unconventional upbringing” inspires a “unique approach” to helping her patients.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

  1. Iris says:

I’ve always liked C.Applegate. I like that the writer is an actress. And I like that it’s an original idea and not an umpteeth reboot. So I’ll check it out if it’s picked-up.

  2. T.W.S.S. says:

I hope this is in a shared universe with Unreal, so that Rachel can finally get that much-needed psychological help.

  3. Gary says:

I would watch! I love her.

  4. Amit says:

Absolutely YES to anything with Christina Applegate in it.
