Ratings: NFL Dominates Thanksgiving; Big Bang Rerun Beats CBS' Fresh Fare

The Steelers’ 28-7 stuffing of the Colts on NBC’s Thursday Night Football dominated Thanksgiving Night, drawing 18.5 million total viewers and a 6.1 demo rating — up sharply from last week’s Saints/Panthers game.

Among non-sports fare, CBS’ Big Bang Theory rerun led the night in both total viewers (with 7.2 million) and in the demo (scoring a 1.4 rating). Leading out of that, fresh episodes of The Great Indoors (5.2 mil/1.2) and Mom (5.8 mil/1.2) each slipped two tenths, while Life in Pieces (5.3 mil/1.0) fell 40 percent. Pure Genius (4.7 mil/0.8) dipped a precious tenth.

ABC’s World of Disney Magical Holiday Celebration of Corporate Synergy Hosted by Dancing With the Stars Siblings drew 5 mil and a 1.0.

Am I the only one who thinks that The Great Indoors stinks?

      Yep, your the only one

Nope. I agree also. I tried a couple of episodes after I dropped The Good Place and could never get into it. I tried to like both shows considering I like Joel Mchale and loved Parks and Rec and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. BTW what was CBS thinking putting three new episodes on Thanksgiving? That was a huge F U to those shows.

      • BrightLight says:

Apparently it has to do with the fact those shows don’t start until the end of October due to CBS having the first half of Thursday Night Football.

I keep wondering if Joel is embarrassed as I am for him.
