Robbie Kay Sleepy Hollow

Once Upon a Time's Robbie Kay Joins Sleepy Hollow Season 4

Once Upon a Time alum Robbie Kay has landed a recurring role on Fox’s significantly rejiggered Sleepy Hollow.

In the “rebooted” fourth season (premiering Friday, Jan. 6 at 9/8c), Ichabod (played by Tom Mison) will find himself relocated to Washington, D.C., where he will work with Homeland Security agent Diana (True Blood‘s Janina Gavankar) and a small team of researchers.

Diana is a single mom to Molly (MasterChef Junior Season 2 contestant Oona Yaffe), a bright and poised 10-year-old. Per our sister site Deadline, Kay will play Logan MacDonald, a handsome Internet star loved by ‘tween girls around the world — Molly included.

In addition to his run as Once‘s Peter Pan né Malcolm, the English actor’s previous TV credits also include NBC’s Heroes Reborn.

As previously announced, Rachel Melvin (Days of Our Lives), Jerry MacKinnon (Empire) and Jeremy Davies (Lost) also have joined the Sleepy Hollow Season 4 cast, while series regulars Jessica Camacho, Lance Gross and Nikki Reed are no longer with the series.

Next to OUAT and Heroes Reborn, this is the third show in a row that I watch that he’ll be on.

Hopefully he can keep his own accent, because while his American is fine in the Maze Runner series, it got awkward in Heroes and then its always curious when a younger actor doing an accent has to interact with another who is using their natural, and similar, accent. You notice it with Phoebe Tonkin, all her scenes with Elijah and Marcel are fine, its extended scenes with Klaus and Rebekkah that expose it (I’ve always wondered that they could easily have altered Hayley’s history because she came onto the Vampire Diaries with all sorts of ulterior motives and Marcel could easily have ushered her off to Australia when he helped her escape as a baby, she could have faked the American until she appeared on the Originals).

    Love Robbie. Tired of Sleepy

  4. Mick says:

An Internet star? What’s that got to do with anything? Sounds like they’re trying to pull in a new demographic of viewers to replace sore Nicole Beharie fans, and less and less like a series to keep up with. How many episodes-in before Molly is kidnapped?

Despised him on OUAT. Luckily I don’t watch SH, so that’s col.

  6. KLS says:

They should rename this show. It has gone through a complete make-over.

    I can’t wait for SHS4.
