World Series Ratings

Ratings: World Series Game 4 Draws 16.7 Million Viewers, Up 23% vs. 2015

Fox’s broadcast of the Cleveland Indians’ 7-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday night delivered 16.7 million total viewers and a 3.8 demo rating (per updated numbers), down from Game 3’s 17.7 mil yet up 23 percent from last year’s Game 4 (Royals/Mets) and marking the most-watched Game 4 since 2009, when Yankees/Phillies drew 22.8 mil.

With the Indians now up 3-1, how do you think the World Series will net out?

Placing second on broadcast TV was ABC’s airing of the Clemson/Florida State college football match-up, which did 4.7 mil and a 1.4.

  1. Candace Fox says:

It’s impossible for the Cubs to win in 6.

  2. it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the cubs make a “miracle” comeback
so they can all revel in all that game 7 hype & money
both teams, fox & mlb have probably been talking off & on since the game ended last night
about how to make the “miracle” happen too

  3. Kevin says:

Imagine if we ever going to see two teams from Cleveland win respective champions in the same year – Cavaliers and maybe the Indians.
