The Walking Dead 10 Most Memorable Moments

The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere Finally Reveals Who Negan Whacked

Warning: The following doesn’t just contain spoilers for the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead, it contains big ol’ bashed-in skull-shaped spoilers. So if you’ve yet to watch the episode, proceed no further.

Eeny, meeny, miny, oh s—. As the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead got underway Sunday evening, we at long last learned the identity of the unfortunate character whose head Negan had used for batting practice as the Season 6 finale drew to a close back in April: R.I.P., Abraham.

But Michael Cudlitz’s alter ego turned out not to be the only casualty of the gory scene. After unleashing Lucille on Eugene’s BFF, the Saviors’ merciless leader also brutally “struck out” — as Robert Kirkman’s comic-book series warned us he would — Glenn, played by Steven Yeun since Season 1.

Throughout the killings, as showrunner Scott Gimple previously warned TVLine, the AMC drama “spared no drop of awfulness, no iota of misery, no scintilla of pain” — which made the opening damn hard to sit through. (At least without a bucket to barf into.)

How are you doing? We know Rick & Co. will be able to carry on somehow? Will you? Would you have preferred someone else bite the dust?

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

  1. CalebFillion says:

Pretty sure Negan wore a very famous leather jacket tonight. You know, the one Fonzie wore when he went waterskiing and jumped over.. something

  2. N says:

The sick thing is Negan, in his own twisted way, showed mercy to the others by picking Abraham, who essentially volunteered via his mannerisms, to kill off. it wasn’t until Daryl lashed out at Negan that Negan said screw it and killed Glenn. Poor Daryl will have to live with that for the rest of the series, and it will be interesting to see how it shapes him going forward..

  3. DarkDefender says:

    That premiere was brutal.

  4. Brian howell says:

Stopped watching the show last season. When it stopped being about Zombies and became a show about humans turning on each other…..
