The Price Is Right: Watch All 3 Players Spin $1, Promptly Lose Their Minds

The Price Is Right on Monday delivered the kind of moment that Kelly Clarkson songs are written about.

All three contestants in one of the episode’s Showcase Showdowns — in which the objective is to get as close to $1 without going over — spun exactly $1, netting them each a cool grand, as well as a chance to re-spin the wheel.

Needless to say, the response was intense. The contestants immediately formed a jumping group hug, host Drew Carey launched into a series of Jersey Shore fist pumps, and the audience members transformed into human Muppets. It was like the Price is Right equivalent of an “Oprah’s Favorite Things” special.

The contestants on Price is Right needs to be on their best behavior at all times like not go all crazy and never EVER physically harm and/or hurt Drew Carey. They need to stop acting like immature adults and my advice to them that if they’re playing a pricing game, let Drew and the models do their job(s) because all they do is just stand there and do nothing even though that person does something stupid and must follow the rules.

lmao, that’s hilarious. I know three people that have been on this show and they are told to be goofy and make “good tv”. Yes, they have rules but being on their best behavior isn’t one of them.

What are you complaining about? I really can’t stand the contestants on Price is Right even though they’re becoming like a bunch of brain dead idiots or maybe drunk and the one thing people are mad about is when someone bids $1 over the last person to blocked out depending on the ARP (actual retail price) because in my opinion it’s not strategy, it’s about “greed”.

    • Kevin K says:

BTW, today’s episode was a disappointment because all six pricing games never won and there’s a reason why the games on Price is Right are becoming harder for the contestants if they want to win something and try not to be so “greedy”.

Well that was fun! Thanks for sharing tvline! I used to watch PiR whenever I was home sick from school.

    Where’s the video?

It was the first time in the show’s 45-year history that all three players spun a dollar on the wheel and it’s never been done before dating back to the Bob Barker era. Better put that in the history books and if Mr. Barker was watching this “priceless” moment he’ll be very happy.

  5. BrightLight says:

I’m pretty sure this has happened before but what makes this time amazing is that not one of the contestants actually landed on the $1.00 space to win it They all had to spin twice to get the $1.00. So they definitely defied the odds.

the Wheel spin is NOT the “Showcase Showdown”, FYI.
the SS is where the final 2 contestants go head-to-head in guessing the price of a package aka a Showcase.
somebody at TVLine doesn’t know their TPIR!

The Price is Right needs to end or in another word “cancelled”. They should’ve put TV’s longest running game show into retirement back in 2007 since Bob Barker left after 35 years hosting. When Drew Carey took over it’s been turning into a freak show all because of executive producer Mike Richards as does Stan Blits the man who’s responsible for picking contestants (if they never watched the show on a daily basis). Who knows when, if and for how long Price is Right is going to end in the foreseeable future.

  8. Kevin says:

If WWE superstar Chris Jericho was here on The Price is Right, he should definitely put the contestants on THE LIST OF JERICHO.
