Grey's Anatomy Marika Dominczyk

Grey's Anatomy: Marika Dominczyk Cast in Mysterious Season 13 Role

She’s Owen’s sister. Or Arizona’s new love interest. Or just a patient.

Actually, all we know for sure is that Marika Dominczyk — the actress-wife of Scandal star Scott Foley — has booked a guest stint on Grey’s Anatomy.

ABC confirmed Dominczyk’s casting, but declined to specify how many episodes she’ll be around for or who she will be playing. They did, however, reveal her character’s name: Eliza Minnick (which means she’s definitely not Owen’s sister, whose name — as reader Michelle reminds us below — is Megan.)

Her previous credits include a recurring role on Brothers & Sisters and guest gigs on Criminal Minds and House.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Callie who? If she’s there for Arizona.

  2. michelle says:

I’m pretty sure Owen’s sister is names Megan, so I doubt she’s her.

“She’s Owen’s sister. Or Arizona’s new love interest. Or just a patient.”. Or the 3 of them! #drama

  4. Sarah says:

She could still be Owens sister and have amnesia or be in witness protection or just ran away and changed her identity…lot’s of reasons for her to have a different name.

  5. Shalen Boyd says:

Maybe she is Joe’s sister or something, something had to come from them talking about forgiveness and her being married and all that :)

  6. Iris says:

Can’t they cast that serious storyline about abuse that was promised instead?

  7. Jami says:

Please let this be Arizona’s new love interest . I can’t take Leah and Arizona. Bridget Reagan or Scott Foley’s wife PLEASE!

  8. PJnGA says:

Alex has a sister we haven’t met yet…..:D

if i remember correctly, amber karev is a lot younger than alex and aaron. when aaron came to visit seattle in season 6, i think they talked about amber and how she was starting med school. assuming she didn’t start late, she’d be in her mid-twenties, late-twenties top by now.

For the love of God …please.. writers at Grey’s… improve the story line this season. Jo is awful. Meredith, Riggs & Maggie triangle awful. The only one I’m rooting for this season is Alex who’s character (and acting) is just so good!! Go back and watch the early seasons. The writing is just plain bad now and the show is next to boring. I’ll keep watching but dang, it’s got to get better.

I agree with EVERYTHING Yoko wrote. Jo is acting holier than thou; all of sudden Owen loves Riggs again, Maggie acts like a love-struck high schooler all the time. And what happened to Mer’s one night stand from last year? He was totally hot. I do not get this alleged triangle with Riggs, Maggie, and Mer. Finally for the love of God, why doesn’t Mer just tell Maggie she’s having sex with Riggs. The bright star in all of this…Karev and Japril. Btw, Miranda Bailey & family (Ben & Tuck) are like watching paint dry.

Totally agree…I will stick with it but it’s kinda boring. And i DO NOT like this new character!

  10. Tony says:

Don’t casting announcements use fake character names all the time??? I mean, at least they do in the soap world

  11. pamela says:

I hope this means Leah returning isn’t for Alex and that Jo is hooking up with Andrew.

  12. DarkDefender says:

I’m gonna say she is the new woman in Arizona’s life. Megan won’t show up until Mer gives in to Doc McKiwi… So her heart will get broken (once again) when a guy’s wife shows up on the scene mid-her happiness.
