Seth Meyers: 'Trump Is His Own Deep Throat,' So Stop Questioning the Sex Assault Allegations Against Him

Seth Meyers on Thursday reprimanded conservative media pundits for doubting the onslaught of sexual assault allegations made against Donald Trump.

The Late Night host took a “Closer Look” at the “bombshells [that] could very well bury Trump for good,” taking direct aim at those who were so quick to deem the accusations untrue.

“There’s very good reason to believe he did what he’s accused of,” Meyers argued. “Why? Because an irrefutable, inside source told us so: Donald Trump.” He then replayed an excerpt from the Access Hollywood bus tape where the Republican candidate for president declared he could “do anything” to women and they’d just “let you do it,” such as “grab them by the p—y.”

“Donald Trump is his own Deep Throat,” Meyers declared, comparing the presidential nominee to the secret informant who helped the Washington Post expose Richard Nixon’s role in the Watergate scandal. “He’s Creep Throat!” Meyers followed up on that jab with a series of clips featuring news anchors, political commentators and Trump himself calling into question the timing of the allegations, many of which have come less than a month before Election Day.

“When people ask why women wait to report sexual assault, that’s why,” Meyers argued. “Because instead of believing them, you question their motives. Stop pretending there’s an optimal time to go public with these kinds of allegations. It’s not like if you do it within the first 24 hours, you get a parade and an iTunes gift card.”

Sadly, so many people don’t get this about assault victims. When I say so many I mean the older generation and most men because those are the ones I have heard make these comments about the victims having motives.

So True. Trump saying why they didn’t come forward sooner is really clear. He had a hit TV show, (just like Bill Crosby) how many would have taken her claim seriously or wipe it under the rug not to upset the ratings. The tape itself show the type of person he is but some justify his actions as guy talk. Well the majority of Men I know do not talk like that.

      • Davidj says:

Exactly. He’s a billionaire with an army of lawyers who would have attacked these women in the media and made their lives as miserable as possible for years. I can’t blame them for deciding it wasn’t worth the trouble.

    Thank you!

So damn true. When you’re dealing with a powerful person/ organization on your own it’s so intimidating, and scary .

    • H says:

A good argument for believing the accusations against Bill and Hillary. After he was done she would threathen them, have them stalked and terrorized.

I love what Seth has been doing….he’s a funny guy, and usually pretty on point.

However, I feel bad for him.
If he doesn’t have Trump, what does he have?
The guy has been doing the same thing for like a decade…and no one ever talked about him until he started going after Drumpf.
