SNL Promos: Lin-Manuel Miranda Channels His Inner Carrie Bradshaw, Can't Get Hamilton Tickets

Lin-Manuel Miranda might have gifted the world with Hamilton, but that doesn’t give him the right to decide that he’s a Carrie, and not, well, a Miranda.

The three-time Tony winner attempts to channel Sarah Jessica Parker’s iconic Sex and the City character in these newly released Saturday Night Live promos, but Cecily Strong — who’s totally a Samantha — is quick to put him in his place.

The first round of commercials for Miranda’s Oct. 8 gig also suggest that getting Hamilton tickets isn’t easy no matter who you are, as its maker details his hopes to one day see the very musical he thought up.

  1. Joey Padron says:

Promos video with Lin and Cecily was good and funny. Can’t wait to watch new episode this Saturday!

  2. Kevin K says:

Cecily Strong did a good Lin-Manuel Miranda impression in SNL’s Family Feud parody.

I’m gonna rev up my ire at being Canadian and unable to view US promos, even though we all watch the same tv. I will keep making the same comment until this travesty is fixed CRTC!!

Opera now comes with a free VPN installed inside the browser. Get it and broadcast that you’re from the US all the time? (I tell it to say that I’m from the Netherlands and then tell myself I’m a doofus when I happen to be in that browser and end up with the Dutch version of a site I need.)

(Sorry if I sound like a shill…Chrome is actually my primary, but I love the free VPN on Opera. ^_^)
