CBS Orders 'Modern-Day Robin Hoods' Pilot From Scorpion Team

CBS has given a put pilot commitment to a (loose) adaptation of A Burglar’s Guide to the City, author Geoff Manaugh’s well-researched exploration of “how any building transforms when seen through the eyes of someone hoping to break into it.”

Penned by Scorpion co-executive producer Paul Grellong, the series will follow a team of “modern-day Robin Hoods” — led by a brilliant architect with a troubled past — as they cunningly steal from wealthy criminals and “give to those who have been wronged by a corrupt system.” Hmm, sounds like they are almost leveraging the rich’s stolen assets against them.

Grellong will exec-produce alongside Scorpion EPs Alex Kurtzman, Justin Lin (who may direct the pilot) and Heather Kadin.

They need to hire people who worked on pre-Leverage British series Hustle. In that case it may work. And for Glob’s sake make lead a woman.

And this is different from the oliver “reimagining”? Because that one was also remarkably leverage-y

  3. Troy says:

Seriously, instead of just making a new version of Leverage, someone should just do what should have been done a couple of years ago and get to work on the Parker/Hardison/Elliot spin-off, Leverage Inc.

  4. Erica says:

I liked Hustle, but I love Leverage!

Sounds vaguely familiar … why??? Oh yeah, I watch it every Sunday on ION TV. It’s called LEVERAGE (Which needs to be brought back WITH the same cast.)

Leverage was a great show and holds up well on repeats which as noted can be seen on ION weekly… They should just bring that show back in some format… Don’t think the actors are that busy…
