Twin Peaks Revival: Showtime Releases Haunting New Teaser

Showtime has released a new teaser video touting next year’s Twin Peaks revival, and it’s got a hauntingly familiar ring to it.

The clip — which series co-creator David Lynch released Friday on Twitter — features footage of Twin Peaks composer Angelo Badalamenti performing the series’ iconic “Laura Palmer” theme.

Lynch and fellow co-creator Mark Frost penned all 12+ episodes of the present-day revival, with Lynch directing every installment. Many of the cult drama’s original cast members are returning for the revival, including Kyle McLachlan and Sherilyn Fenn. Showtime has yet to pinpoint a premiere date beyond confirming that it will drop sometime in 2017.

Nothing much to see here. Badalamenti playing his great Laura Palmer’s theme….and that’s pretty much it. The videos (of Malkovich -I think- in the Red Room) that Lynch posted on his Twitter account were more haunting and showing more (albeit still not much).

    God, I cannot wait.

Can we please stop using the word “drop” for when something will premiere? It sounds fricking childish on the reporter’s part.

You know what is music to my ears? “Including Kyle McLachlan and Sherilyn Fenn”.
Twin Peaks was my first cult show and I can’t wait to finally get more of that damn good TV pie!

I hope it moves at a little faster pace than the glacial season 2, I watched on Netflix.
