Lip Sync Battle Season 3: OITNB Inmates, America Ferrera and More Channel Michael Jackson in New Trailer

Some of the small screen’s finest are warming up their lips — but definitely not their vocal chords — for the return of Spike TV’s Lip Sync Battle.

The network on Thursday released a music video, set to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It,” featuring the contestants of Season 3 in their finest red leather jackets and (in co-host Chrissy Teigen’s case) enormous hoop earrings.

America Ferrera (Superstore), John Cho (R.I.P., Selfie!), Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) and a slew of Orange Is the New Black stars are among this season’s crop of “singers.” Additional guests include: Sir Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Wanda Sykes, Craig Ferguson, TJ Miller, Jay Leno, Milla Jovovich, Lupita Nyong’o, Rob Riggle and Regina Hall.

Lip Sync Battle returns Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 9/8c. Hit PLAY on the trailer above, then drop a comment with your thoughts below.

Most excited for John Cho and TJ Miller – I’m confident that they will each really bring it.
Biggest surprise of this video for me was Lupita Nyong’o – look for her to be a dark horse hall of fame contender.

  2. Wordsmith says:

Also, how fun is it that the got like half of the OITNB cast? I wonder whether they’ll be split across several episodes, or if it’ll be one huge prison-yard-showdown

  3. Philip says:

How many episodes are there this season?

I know that they taped episodes over 5 weekends in August and September, with the last weekend covering 3 days. I believe they tape 2 episodes each day. However, They switched ticket booking websites and by looking on the LSB page, there were cancellations and substitutions. It made it a tad confusing. One weekend looked like there was only one episode taped. I counted 14 episodes and a holiday special. I just want wondered if anyone knows the exact total.
