Fresh Off the Boat Season 3 Poster: The Huangs Take a Rockwell-esque Trip

The Huangs will travel to Taiwan during Fresh Off the Boat‘s Season 3 premiere, but the excursion might not be as picture-perfect as this exclusive new poster, inspired by Norman Rockwell’s “Going and Coming.”

Like the famous painting, the image below evokes a family summer vacation, which is fitting considering that the season opener finds Louis flying his entire brood back to their homeland in order to make things right with his brother Gene (returning guest star Ken Jeong). When Louis discovers that his bro has a good thing going in Taiwan with a beautiful fiancée, he begins to struggle with doubts about his own life in Orlando.

Meanwhile, Jessica takes the kids to her favorite childhood locales, like Dihua Street and Shilin Night Market. (The young actors’ real-life visit to the latter spot can be previewed here.)

Fresh Off the Boat returns Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 9/8c on ABC.

  2. Brian says:

    Love this show.

  3. Arthur says:

i love that they always emulate a classic paiting to promote the show

  4. Keith Bryce says:

Stupid show, such a demeaning stereo typing of the Chinese. My wife is Taiwanese born
and educated, migrated to the US after college, she thinks the show is insulting. We go
to Taiwan every few years, I’m “white” and speak Japanese and Mandarin… better than
anyone on that show except the Grandma. The Husband is played by a KOREAN, Two of the
three children ARE NOT EVEN Ethnic Chinese! The wife is “ABC” and doesn’t even know how
to REALLY act Chinese from Taiwan! The ONLY person on the show that IS actually Chinese
is the grandma played by the famous actress Lucille Soong!! Have you noticed Randall
Park NEVER says more than a couple words in Mandarin? Cause HE’S KOREAN!! In the recent trip to Taipei to see a brother get married (Ken Jeong), he’s played by ANOTHER
KOREAN!! You mean that they couldn’t find any Chinese actors??? This show is Pathetic
    and Insulting.
