Saturday Night Live: Margot Robbie to Host Season 42 Premiere

Saturday Night Live has announced its first Season 42 host: Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie will kick things off on Oct. 1 (11:30/10:30c).

Grammy winner and Oscar nominee The Weeknd will serve as the musical guest for Robbie’s episode; this marks The Weeknd’s second time taking the SNL stage, having already performed last season.

SNL enters its new season down three cast members, including veterans Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah and one-and-done featured player Jon Rudnitsky.

To fill the void, EP Lorne Michaels is bringing in a trio of newbies: SNL writer Mikey Day, male improv performer Alex Moffat and Latina impressionist/actor Melissa Villaseñor.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Hope SNL should do a Suicide Squad parody.

  2. EJ says:

    She’d make a good Ivanka.

  3. Josh Emerson says:

Still annoyed that they got rid of Taran. He was the best cast member aside from Kate McKinnon.

  4. Aubrey says:

This is awesome, I’m a big fan of Margot and Abel (The Weeknd).

  5. Joey Padron says:

Happy Margot will host the season premiere episode! Can’t wait for new season to start next weekend!
