Devious Maids' Roselyn Sanchez to Star in Lifetime's Death of a Vegas Showgirl

“Carmen Luna” might have sung her last note, but Devious Maids star Roselyn Sanchez is staying put at Lifetime with a killer new project.

Sanchez star in Death of a Vegas Showgirl, a new movie based on the true story of Debbie Flores, a professional dancer who went missing the night before she was set to make her debut as the lead in a major stage production. She will also executive-produce, along with husband Eric Winter (Witches of East End).

Per Lifetime, “the investigation into [Debbie’s] disappearance reveals the twisted depth of a love story gone wrong that ends in a sordid death that shocked Las Vegas — and the world — with its gruesome and tragic details.” (Hang Time‘s Danso Gordon will play Sanchez’s love interest.)

Additional executive producers include Scott W. Anderson, Howard Braunstein and Brian D. Young. Penelope Buitenhuis directed the film, which was written written by Young.
