FX's Legion: New Teasers Introduce Charles Xavier's Powerful Son

Warning: These new teasers for FX’s Legion series are so good, you’re going to want to kiss them — but as you’ll see, that probably wouldn’t be a great idea.

Appropriately titled “Switch,” the first video (above) finds Dan Stevens’ character — a diagnosed schizophrenic named David Charles Haller, the son of X-Men mastermind Charles Xavier — recalling an incident in which he accidentally switched bodies with a girl by locking lips.

Premiering in early 2017, Legion follows David’s personal journey, as he discovers that the voices and visions he’s been experiencing in his head might actually be real.

A second promo (below) features David and Lenny — an optimistic drug user, played by Aubrey Plaza — gazing in wonder at… well, I’m not quite sure who. But, hey, that’s probably why the video is titled “WTF”:

I don’t think this looks good. I also have a feeling this show will have no connection to the X-Men or Xavier at all.

    • Wordsmith says:

It may not fit into the established movie continuity, but it’ll at least reference mutants and the x-gene in general, and almost certainly Xavier in particular (eventually).

If this is really any connection to the legion character in the comics – he’s not only xaviers son = those people are actually people in his head – i’m not sure of the exact dynamic but basically he takes in personalities – for you non comic book people who think seeing Comib Book movies makes you a ‘geek’ – he’s like rogue – on steroids – and permanently (though they never did rogue right anyway)

First teaser was good. 2nd one was ok. I’m looking forward to see the show next year. It’s awesome FX is having their first Marvel show.

  4. M says:

Isn’t he part isareli in the comics? I hope FX doesn’t wipe that part out.

What the hell lol… at first I was going to write that the dude in the thumbnail reminded me of Matthew Crawley only to find out that it is indeed Dan Stevens. God damn…. this is amazing!
