Toni Collette Unit Zero

TVLine Items: Toni Collette Spies ABC Series, Dr. Drew Cancelled and More

Toni Collette is spying a return to TV in a CIA-set action dramedy.

The United States of Tara actress will star in and executive-produce Unit Zero, a potential hourlong series for ABC from black-ish producers Kenya Barris and Lindsay Shockley, our sister site Deadline reports.

The project centers around a brilliant but unassuming CIA engineer and single mom as she leads a team of underlings who are thrust into the field as newbie spies.

Collette’s most recent TV role was on CBS’ short-lived drama Hostages.

Just a reminder that Academy Award winning Brie Larson played Toni’s daughter on The United States of Tara

  3. Reavaria says:

Conspiracy Theory: Hillary Clinton got HLN to cancel Dr.Drew.

  4. Elf says:

Drew should not have pulled a “Sen. Bill Frist” and tried to diagnose Hillary Clinton based on hearsay and innuendo instead of performing an actual exam.

    • Ron says:

I totally agree. I don’t know if they would’ve cancelled his show either way, but that is so sloppy for a supposed doctor to do. He’s never treated Hillary Clinton in his life, yet felt that it was okay to publicly give his supposed medical opinion based on random pictures, out-of-context video footage, and insane far-right conspiracy theories. Any (reputable) doctor should know being that speculative is careless. Then again, we’re talking about somebody who exploited the addiction issues of celebrities for his own financial gain via a reality show. And 6 of the people he “treated” on that show (Mike Starr; Jeff Conaway; Rodney King; Joey Kovar; Mindy McCready; Joanie ‘Chyna’ Laurer) have all prematurely died. Of course, me insinuating that Dr. Drew’s crappy “treatment”–rather than their daily battles with addiction–was somehow directly responsible for their deaths is completely speculative, and he has openly said how much he hates when people question his motives when discussing these peoples’ deaths, but certainly with his latest comments he can understand the irony.
