Colbert Announces Live Late Shows Following Presidential Debates

Donald Trump really can’t back out of those debates now.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert — which saw its ratings spike with its spate of live shows following the Republican and Democratic conventions — will go live again this fall following the presidential and vice presidential debates.

CBS announced Wednesday that Colbert will broadcast live installments Monday, Sept. 26 following the first presidential debate, Tuesday, Oct. 4 following the vice presidential debate, and Wednesday, Oct. 19 after coverage of the third presidential debate. (The second POTUS debate on Oct. 9 falls on a Sunday, hence no live Late Show that night.)

Additional details, like which special guests will be joining Colbert (cough Jon Stewart cough) will be revealed at a later date.
